OGVAT-S Culture is designed for people who wants to feel. We are a queer culture branch that promote and defend safe coping strategies used to regulate our body, emotions and nervous system. We are not a medical, nor a fetish blog. We just want to live in modern society without stigma or misunderstandings. We just love ourselves enough to accept our unique characteristics.  We are not crazy, attention seekers or exhibitionists. There is nothing wrong in emotional regulation through sensory stimulation and awareness. Modern society is so flattened that everything it’s about appearance and oversimplification. For us, this is not just appearance, it’s a life strategy used to maintain psychological stability and affirm ourselves in our daily existence. We choose to embrace our complexity to live better.

The ogvatsculture.org website is a lifestyle, habits, and fashion blog created to promote subcultures and practices that involve sensory stimulation and awareness. Modern society often misunderstands certain underground cultures, such as body modification, barefooting, naturism, or texture-based clothing. While in some cases these behaviors are simply casual or personal choices, in others they are effective coping strategies for people with sensory divergence, helping them regulate their bodies, emotions, and nervous systems.

Understanding these ‘quirks’ will help hundreds of people—and their caregivers—break the stigma and live better lives. So, hyperfocus on your passions, wear cozy clothes, go barefoot, or simply do whatever helps you be yourself. We all want to live our lives in every single detail, safely and without unnecessary compromises.
